Winfrey was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2013 by then-President Barack Obama. The award is the nation’s highest civilian honor. 10. The Name Of Her Production Company Is Harpo
After Winfrey gave up daytime talk, she started her own production company. Harpo co-owns the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). The name was fairly easy to come up with as it is “Oprah” spelled backwards.
