Back in 2015, the video went viral and spread like wildfire across the web. Egg enthusiasts everywhere were left scratching their heads in amazement at the idea of a double-egg action, but as it turns out, this phenomenon is not unheard of.
Farmers are somewhat familiar with the so-called “double-shelled eggs,” but many of your regular city folk are convinced they are not real. Scientists call this process counter-peristalsis contraction, and it occurs when an egg changes direction inside the chicken, adding a new layer of albumen and then encapsulating it within another shell. It’s a whole thing, don’t worry about it.
